Curtis Jones has had to fight to carve a niche out for himself throughout his Liverpool career, and part of that has meant that he has ended up in a variety of positions on the pitch. Despite getting into a fight of a different kind in the last derby, Arne Slot trusted the Scouser to play an unfamiliar yet important role this time around.
His excellent performance didn’t only show why he will be part of this squad for years to come, but why he may also have an influence on the transfer plans this summer.
