Jarell Quansah might be officially Liverpool’s fourth choice right back, but Arne Slot is in no doubt of his quality. He heaped praise on the young defender on the day he earned an England call-up, and explained why his tough start to the season might end up being the making of his career.
Quansah will likely start the upcoming League Cup Final against Newcastle, and while there weren’t as many questions on the opponents as the head coach would like, he did answer my question on one of the biggest talking points amongst the LFC fanbase - the playing time of Federico Chiesa
We also get into:
- Why Slot doesn’t view Quansah as a youngster anymore
- How the PSG defeat is behind them
- Why Slot isn’t worried about Darwin Nunez
- How tired are this Liverpool team?
- How dangerous are Newcastle without Anthony Gordon, Lewis Hall & Sven Botman?
- Chiesa’s biggest barrier to getting into the team
