I think it's as likely to do with Bradley’s fitness as not wanting to create a story, but we don't know for sure. I also think there were tactical reasons why they were getting so much joy down that side, that Slot believed he could solve. In fairness to him, that's the first time all season that he hasn't solved an issue.
also? perhaps it wasn't as simple as a man for man swap. perhaps there was more going on amongst the entire squad. Perhaps he "settled" for a point, rather than rocking the boat too much during this time.
We've got players in the news for other reasons... perhaps he was protecting Trent, who to be fair, has been more than solid most of the season, and who has even grown defensively under Arne.
Without Gomez and with Konate being thrust into a full 90 minutes, when he could've done with a solid 60'... and with Bradley only just being back... and with no Szobo in midfield... perhaps Arne was protecting his squad as a whole, and the league lead without changing too much and exposing players or focusing too much on one (ie., Trent)
I do wonder where Endo was.
Without Szobo we could've used some more help for McAllister who was strong.
We got a point on a crappy day, and it didn't affect our League position much as our nearest threats also drew. The squad got a rude awakening in that nothing is promised without HARD work and intensity.
I feel this was the best of a bad day. No we move on and trust Arne knows his squad and the game!
Perfectly summed up.
Spot on Mo
Spot On.
Felt cathartic.
I wonder why Slot kept Trent in the game despite his very poor performance from the beginning.
It was obvious such a big hole in our right flank, from the first moments...
I wonder If that was because Konor was not completely ready or because of Slot's too much "respect" to Trent...
Almost every chance United had, came from some sort of mistake Trent did
I suspect that if his name was not Trent, but....Quansha he would have been substituted in half time...
I wish Slot had the guts to do it.
